Skeet Shooting From Low At Station Four
Hi, my name is Don Snyder, Executive Director of the National Skeet Shooting Association, on behalf of ExpertVillage.com.
What we’re ready to do is engage the low house target from station four of the skeet field. Again, everybody must remember, these are basic instructions to help a beginner to get started in the wonderful game of skeet shooting.
Again, one of the things that we want to do is to make sure that when you’re shooting the shotgun that you’re always looking at the target. Always looking at the target, and when you’re doing that, the gun will flow very smoothly. Now one of the things that we’re talking about here is low house four. The advertised lead on this is four feet. Now what that equates to, is just like on the high house, is approximately four fingers out in front of the target, the barrel four fingers out in front of the target.
It’s extremely important to keep your head down on the stock, see the four fingers, and pull the trigger. What we want to do here is come about three quarters of the way back, look into the window, take your eyes off of the gun, look for the target, get your four fingers out in front, and pull the trigger. I’ll demonstrate. “Pull”! “Pull”! And that will show you a complete successful shot at low four.
