(recommended by member Raghvendra Pratap Singh)
This article is a recommendation by one of our members from India. Raghvendra Singh has just recently got into the sport of Skeet Shooting in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. He writes,
“We don’t really have a skeet range. There is a machine placed on top of some stones to create a high house , and an approximation as what would be the Stations 1 to 8.’
After having some meagre success at this range, I have just recently taken part in state shooting competition held in New Delhi at a proper olympic skeet range , with specific speed etc confirming to olympic standards. We had two rounds of skeet - 25 birds , gun held low till the bird emerges, and olympic specifications of h,dbls in station 1 - 3 , h,l,doubles and reverse doubles at station 4 , l,dbls at station 5 - 6 and doubles on 7 , followed by single high and low at station 8.
It looked very scary , but I managed 12 out of 25 , and 13 out of 25.
Of course , I didn’t qualify for further level of competition this year ,but whatever little I could manage was because of the information I had got from articles on the net. There are some great articles which maybe you could organise putting on your website with permission from the sources.”
They are located at:
